Have you ever used pesticides? Many homeowners use different types of pesticides to keep their homes safe from insects, preventing weeds from growing, or getting rid of rodents. In the past, these chemicals were quite dangerous to human health, but modern versions that are much less harmful have been developed for use in homes. This means that pesticides are a valid option for you to use if you should choose to do so, but even though they are a lot less dangerous than they were in the past, this doesn’t mean that you won’t need to exercise some care when you have them in your home.
The first concern should be storage. If you have children in the home, you should keep chemicals either locked up or out of reach. Just remember that a child that is determined to get into a cabinet can be very crafty, no matter what you do to prevent it.
When you use pesticides, you should wear appropriate PPE, and you should avoid spreading it on a windy day since the pesticide could be carried into your neighbor’s yard or inside your home.
