When the water runs slowly down your drains, or there are gurgling sounds in the kitchen when you run water down the sink in the bathroom, do you know what that means? Most likely you have a clog somewhere in your drain pipes. Clogs are common occurrences in homes, and they could be created from hair collecting in a spot, soap buildup, coagulated fat or a combination of these. It is also possible that something that shouldn’t have been sent down the drain was, and now it is stuck. For the most part, you should be able to notice that there is a problem, since your plumbing system starts acting differently. It is good to be alert to changes such as those mentioned, since this means that you will be able to do something about the clog before it gets so bad that water starts backing up. The sooner you start working on dislodging a clog, the easier it will be.
